Vanessa Woode
Vanessa Woode is a Gender and Race advocate and podcaster with experience in policy evaluation, strategic communication and community engagement. With a background in Law and International Studies from the University of Adelaide, Vanessa is passionate about applying relationship-focused and sustainable solutions to decolonize international aid and community work.
Currently working in Sierra Leone, she has been able to use her academic experience and passion for race issues to take her work where she feels it matters most - to vulnerable communities in rural Sierra Leone.
Aside from working in the fields of rural Sierra Leone, you'll catch Vanessa at the beach watching sunsets, recording her podcast, binging the latest Netflix series or in a little nook reading.

Bior Aguer
Bior Aguer is a skilled award-winning author and poet. He utilised the power of poems as a form of community advocacy. Publishing Journal of a Refugee in 2020 and Divinity in 2022. Bior brings his work into Synchronicity as a keynote speaker.

Everine Munyonge
Everine Munyonge is a former refugee child whose family fled the war-torn Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo at the age of one and lived in various refugee camps before settling in Australia. Eve worked as a research assistant at the University of South Australia in 2019 with Dr Melanie Baak exploring the employment seeking experiences of Africans in South Australia. She currently works as a Community Development Officer at the Survivors of Torture and Trauma Assistance and Rehabilitation Service (STTARS) supporting refugee and asylum seeker communities. She completed her Bachelors in Psychological Science (Cognitive Neuroscience) at UniSA and the Masters in Health and International Development at Flinders University. She has experience working with people with disabilities and their families. Her passion involves working with minority groups, particularly CALD and Aboriginal communities to address issues affecting their quality of life.
